Bev Mitchell is the founder of MDA Project Managers he has more than 55 years of built environment project experience. He Established and led the Cape Town office of a national construction management and design practice for 15 years (1964 – 1979).

He then established, led, and continues to mentor and guide the MDA Project Management team (1979 – present). The firm is recognised as one of the best project management practitioners in the Western Cape.

Mr. Bev Mitchell has significantly contributed to the evolution of construction project management. He exemplifies dedication and leadership in the field. Remarkably, at 87, Mitchell remains actively involved, showcasing a lifelong passion for construction project management.

Jedd Grimbeek is a highly experienced built environment professional who has accumulated more than 30 years’ experience spanning both local and international markets, covering both the consulting and construction contracting ends of the spectrum.

He specialises as a registered professional project manager and development consultant and has led and delivered a number of the most prominent and complex projects undertaken in Cape Town, South Africa. These projects include; the V&A Waterfront Marina Residential Development, the MyCiTi Integrated Rapid Transit System, Phase 1 and Phase 2 (Design) of the Cape Town International Convention Centre, the Aurum Presidential and Luxury Residences, amongst many others.

He is an active participant in a number of built environment professional associations, including; the Western Cape Property Development Forum, as well as the South African Association of Construction Project Managers where he held the position of Vice-President until 2023.

Peter Wortmann is a professionally registered project manager. He is experienced in the local building and infrastructure sector including retail, commercial, industrial, mixed-use, and civil infrastructure projects. Proficient in all stages of development, and project management processes from initiation to close out. He assists with developer management functions and drives pre-development activities.

Sechaba Maruping is a professionally registered project manager, and certified Microsoft Projects planner, with extensive built environment capabilities in construction project management, cost planning, project planning and implementation projects. His core strengths include Project Inception and Planning, Feasibility Studies and Project Budgets, Stakeholder Relations, Financial Management, Design Development, Professional Team Management and On-site Contract Management.

Brandon Berghoff is a Certified Professional Project & Development Manager with more than 15 years’ experience managing the delivery of projects across a diverse array of sectors, industries and asset classes. Brandon is well experienced in this complex and highly demanding discipline, holding a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Project Management, together with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Honours degree in Property Studies, all of which were obtained at the University of Cape Town. Brandon is a certified Professional Construction Project Manager (PrCPM) with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) and is also certified as a Green Star SA Accredited Professional (GSSA AP) – Existing Buildings Performance (EBP) with the Green Building Council of South Africa.

Michael Elston is an experienced Project Manager of complex civil engineering projects from the concept stage through to implementation – delivering for major Clients bodies from national, provincial, and municipal spheres of government. He holds his Project Management Professional (PMP), and is also a Professionally Registered Engineer. Projects have included the implementation of an Integrated Public Transport Network in George, N7 freeway upgrades from Cape Town to Malmesbury, and the Cape Town Stadium development, and the George Airport Business Park.
