The project entails the full aesthetic refurbishment, installation of various new engineering systems and installation of a new high performance curtain walling system to the existing multi-storey commercial building located at 36 Hans Strijdom Avenue, Foreshore, Cape Town to accommodate a single commercial tenant on a long-term lease, with the project targeting 5 Green Star Design and As-built Ratings with the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA). More specifically, the project includes the following primary scope elements:

  • Refurbishment and Modification to various end of life bulk supplies (e.g. Generators, Transformers, UPS Systems, Water Supplies and Electrical Supplies)
  • Refurbishment & Alterations to Existing Parking Levels, including a New Structural Parking Ramp
  • Refurbishment, Alterations and Additions to Ground Floor level, 5no. Office Levels and Roof Level
  • New High Performance Curtain Walling System to Building Façade
  • Replacement of all Existing Lifts with New Lifts and Construction of a New Lifts Shaft from Ground Floor to 5th Floor Office level
  • New VRV Heat Recovery System with Filtered Fresh Air
  • Upgrades to Plumbing, Drainage, Fire and Electrical Systems
  • New Multi-level Structural Steel Communication Staircase
  • New Grey Water Harvesting System
  • New Rooftop Solar PV System
