MDA was involved with setting up the unique and successful “Package of Plans” approach for the development of the entire V&A Waterfront. Thereafter, MDA project managed the construction of the original V&A Waterfront’s Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre development from 1989, and subsequent retail expansion / alteration projects up until 2020, including the relocation of Pick ‘n Pay into the basement, the cross link mall, vehicular Granger Bay Boulevard underpass, expansion of Woolworths into the basement, upgrades to the Atrium and Mall Areas, and lastly the opening of the Quay Side entrance to Woolworths with structured walkways, seating, and a children’s play area.
